Iceland au pairs usually work 30 hrs/week (around 6 hours a day) and they usually get 1-2 days off per week. If they are required to work extra evenings the will be reimbursed accordingly

Visas

Icelandic au pairs are allowed from around the world.
Nationals of the Schengen Area do not need a visa to come an work as au pairs
Nationals from outside the Schengen Space need a visa and au pair permit

Duration of stay

Schengen Area- no time limit
Non Schengen space nationals, there is a time limit depending on the country of provenience. Usually, between 6-12 months
